What geographical areas do you cover?
Our cleaning contract clients are all over the UK including Bristol, Somerset, Avon, Wiltshire, Dorset, South & West Wales. We undertake cleaning contracts nationwide.
You’re quite a small company - can you really provide a nation-wide service?
We recruit cleaning staff and supervisors all over the country to match the needs of each individual cleaning contract. We don’t use concessions because we like to maintain our high service standards all over the country.
Which agency do you use for your cleaning staff?
We don’t use agency staff - all our cleaners are employed by Relyon. We prefer to operate this way because it means we train our staff to the high Relyon standards. It also means that the same staff tend to work on a cleaning contract long-term, so they get to know the client and its procedures.

Do you use franchises?
No, all our contracts are managed from our Head office in Bristol. If we used concessions or franchises we wouldn’t be able to ensure the same high standards consistently across the country. By cerntalising everything, we make sure that every contract is handled properly, effectively and professionally with a focus on service.
Do you practice TUPE?
We have a lot of experience in TUPE and all issues surrounding the transfer of incumbent staff will be dealt professionally and sensitively.

Do you screen your cleaners?
Our cleaners are screened in accordance with the requirements of BS7858:2006 - in other words, as thoroughly as security officers.
Prior to employment;
- a 5-year check of a candidate’s employment history, together with references from personal referees
During training;
- full employment screen, involving written evidence of activities and whereabouts over the last 10 years (or 20 years if required).
- general health assessment to ensure the candidate is of an acceptable level of fitness.

Why cleaning and security?
The cleaning and security companies are run in exactly the same way, with the focus on outstanding service. They can be highly complementary eg if you have a break-in you often need cleaning as well as security cover.
Are you aware of environmental issues and how do you address them?
We are advanced in terms of environmental knowledge and awareness.
We use only genuinely green cleaning products, and never use bleach. We also ensure minimal wastage in our packaging . All our Staff are trained in environmental awareness to high standards.

Why have a Service Level Agreement (SLA)?
SLAs measure the performance of the contract, and encourage continuous improvement through the adoption of new solutions and cleaning methods. It covers;
Quality Cleaning Standards; Method statements, work schedules, checklists
Client & Management Interactions; Scheduled meetings and service reviews
Employee & Management Interactions; Employee welfare
Do you use KPI - Key Performance Indicators?
KPIs measure detailed contract performance, and help to highlight areas of the service that need attention.
Examples of KPIs that we measure:
- Compliance with specification
- Personnel performance & appearance
- Management meetings
- Complaint investigation and resolution
- Innovation
What about RIDDOR (Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences) and COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health Regulations)?
The COSHH assessment will normally be written down unless the assessment process proves to be a simple one and can be demonstrated at any time. The assessment must be reviewed and updated when necessary, e.g. when new substances are introduced.
RIDDOR is used to report any accidents at work, and enforced by Health & Safety Executive / Local Environmental Department.
How do you manage quality?
Cleaning Method Statements, Work Schedules and Checklists record and evaluate various aspects of activity, and are focused on improving service levels to customers. Quality management includes;
- detailed site-specific Cleaning Method Statement
- detailed site-specific Work Schedules
- confirmation of Scheduled Task Check list
- supervisors’ Cleaning and Quality Assessment list
- contracts’ Managers Cleaning and Quality Assessment list
The information is always available and enables the client to keep track of the service level requirements.

Yes, 24/7 365 days a year. Even if it’s a Bank Holiday or a Sunday evening, we will respond quickly, effectively and professionally.
Do you supply equipment and cleaning supplies?
Yes, we do. Every new contract has brand new equipment assigned to that site only. We agree on the consumables you need and we guarantee to supply exactly what has been contracted. We also offer trials of different consumables such as handwashes or loo-roll holders.
