Keyholding - BOCM

3am: keyholder is suddenly taken ill before staff arrive at work
An important delivery was going out early in the morning.
Staff were about to arrive to get the delivery ready for shipping. But the key-holder had taken ill suddenly.

3am: we get an emergency call for keys
One of the managers had the main set of keys and he should have been there to let them in.
Staff waiting outside didn't realise that he'd had a heart-attack on the way in and had been taken to hospital.

3.20am:we open and secure building
After a phone call to tell us that the main keyholder hadn't arrived and that staff were waiting outside,
we were there in 20 minutes to let them in so they could put the delivery together

9am: business as usual
The urgent delivery was dispatched on time and with no further problems.
Relyon was the only other keyholder within 100 miles; if we hadn't had the keys,
that urgent delivery would not have gone out, the staff would have all had to go home,
and the business would have been seriously impacted.
